in the days coming up to the shoot, we are now telling the dancers the makeup that we want them to wear during the day and also what makeup style that we wanted. We wanted to make a similar look to that of the 80's. We asked them to wear strong blue eyeliner and to add to the effect have curled hair.

This was a challenge as we were always a little stretched for money when it came to buying the props for our music video. Here we tried to split the costs between all of us to about £40 per person. I spent a lot of money however on getting the costumes and props such as the ice box for the shoot. Here I went onto Amazon and Ebay to try and find the best costumes and props. I was able to find some ice cream floats online on Ebay which we decided could be seans job to buy and I also found that I had the perfect cool box at home that we could use for our video.

I feel that though our drawing may not be the best I feel we were able to successfully show the shots that we wanted to use in our music video. However I feel that there may have been a few more that we could have added into it. This would have especially helped in our anamitic story board. However I am happy with the overall outcome.

I am happy in the way that the group all worked together to create all the pictures that we needed creating a large total meaning that we were able to clearly show what kind of video we wanted and how it would link in with the music.

Instead of just sticking to the original storyboards we decided to take a picure of each one and make it into a small video. We did this to help us as a group understand what we wanted our music video to look like and also to try and figure out what other shots we wanted and needed to make our video work. This would also come in helpful when making our shot list.

There are several things that we needed for our music video in terms of props that we think will make it better. The largest prop that we need was the Ice cream van. This part will come in both at the start and at the end and will be the theme for the whole video. I also think that it would be good to have a keyboard in the video for the main artist to play on as he sings so there seems to be a little more talent in the artist giving him more of a star image. Finally I think it could also be nice if we had some ice cream pool floats in the video to emphesise the theme that we are trying to create. We are going to try and create a narrative with a man in the ice cream van and it would be good if we could get some real ice creams for us to use and also inflatable ones to show that perhaps he is in a dream state.

we have been doing a lot of research into what costumes would be best for our four dancers. We decided that what would wirk the best would be to have then dressed in all in one silver costumes. We thought this would work well as it goes with the idea that he is in a dream and also that these costumes do also slightly reflect the blue and red lights, hopfully.



















There has been a large amount of research going into the costumes. We looked all areas online for both the cheapest (limited budget) and also the best costume for the dancers. We decided on the costume below. this is because we thought that it would work well with the simplicity of the all white set and also it would work well in the coloured set with the light reflecting off of them.

Last Wedenesday we talked to the set designers to see what was feasible and what they thought would work better with the song and what they could or couldn't do. Here we established that we would be able to do most of what we asked for such as the podiums and the keyboard and cool box. However one little problem we had was with the dry ice. They said that they would be able to do this, however, it is also expensive. This meant that they as the set designers might not supply it and we would have to use the school.



We also talked about how we should make the concept seem more retro and make it seem like it was the 80's. We would do this with the lighting ideas that we had and also in the costumes that we would use for both of them.

They also recomened that we should the the part with the ice cream van at the end of the day. This would be so that we would have filmed our safety shots in the studio already and this would also enable us to hace more time to film as we woudln't be using the studio the whole time.

They also talked about the importance of where the girls were stages so that the entirety of the stage was used. We decided that they would all be on the large platforms as before but also to make sure that we always had some of them in the background if others were at the front with the singers.

This is a short video that we took of five girls that we were thinking of casting as our dancers from this we picked our top four of the five and have put them forward for casting.

This is a letter that I worked on with my group which was done on Guys laptop. Here we had to write to the recording studio to ask permission to make a music video from their song. Below in the email that we wrote as a group to the recording studio.

This was the second video that we created for our casting of our male singer. We did this as we didn't think our first casting was good enough and we didn't have anyone who we thought was good enough.
